The Cocktail Bike brings atmosphere, experience and original cocktails to any location – from an intimate garden party to a vibrant corporate festival. We shake, stir and pour your event to life, all in style.
From idea to icon
This is the cocktail bike
What started as a personal idea of founder Niels den Boogert, has grown into an atmospheric cocktail experience that you experience on location: The Cocktail Bike. After graduating in Hotel and Event Management, Niels set off on a trip around the world, where he found inspiration in Asia, New Zealand and Australia, among other places. At a resort in Australia, he learned the craft of cocktail shaking. The creativity, the show element and the fun behind the bar never left him. Once back in the Netherlands he wanted to continue with cocktails, but then in a different way. This is how the idea for The Cocktail Bike was born: a mobile cocktail bar, built on an original cargo bike from the ’20s.
Today, The Cocktail Bike is much more than a cargo bike with a shaker. It is a driving experience. Meanwhile, Niels shares his passion with a team of twenty professional bartenders who together provide unique cocktail arrangements and interactive workshops entirely on location.
The power of The Cocktail Bike is in the overall picture. It’s not just about serving drinks – it’s about atmosphere, experience and stories. Whether it’s an intimate garden party, a grand corporate festival or a bachelor party with a twist: The Cocktail Bike comes to you with style. Niels den Boogert
Hi! I’m Niels den Boogert, founder of The Cocktail Bike – a mobile cocktail bar I started after an inspiring trip and bartending experience in Australia. What started as a solo adventure is now a team of twenty bartenders with whom we provide unique cocktail experiences at every location. I take care of everything: from the first contact to pouring the last cocktail. Surprising people, unburdening them and offering an unforgettable experience, that’s what gives me energy. With The Cocktail Bike we combine craftsmanship, conviviality and stories in every glass.

Oliver Youngman
Hi! I’ve been in the hospitality business for twenty years and have done a bit of everything in that time. Nowadays you can find me shaking cocktails at events and behind the bar. Within De Cocktailfiets I am operations manager. I make sure everything runs smoothly: from the preparation to the execution of each event. The best thing about this job? Being on the road and meeting new people every day. My favorite cocktail to make? That is without a doubt the caipirinha – a fresh, sour classic that is always to my liking.

Hi! My background is in professional sports: for years I played basketball at a high level. I bring that passion into everything I do. After an accelerated study at TIO Rotterdam, I quickly progressed to positions as office and sales manager. I am now an event manager and have my own company as a virtual assistant, supporting entrepreneurs in the field of sales, planning and strategy. At De Cocktailfiets I focus on sales and social media. I think along with clients and make sure each event fits their wishes perfectly. My favorite cocktail? The fresh and spicy Dark ‘n Stormy!

I’ve been in the hospitality industry for quite a few years now, from restaurants and hotels to events and cocktail bars, and along the way I discovered my love for cocktails. At De Cocktailfiets, my role is all about sharing knowledge and bringing smiles, because there’s no better feeling than seeing guests enjoy their time with you. What I love about the event and cocktail industry is being constantly surrounded by people who are having a great time. There are too many cocktails to choose from, but if I had to pick, I’d go for a delicious Paloma or an Old Fashioned.

I’m about to graduate as an urban planner, and from that background I find it fascinating to visit all kinds of different places and meet the people there. As a bartender at De Cocktailfiets, I encounter a very diverse crowd, and I’ve also gained experience across the entire hospitality industry. I work as a freelance bartender at De Cocktailfiets. What I enjoy about the cocktail and event industry is that I get to visit the most unique locations and have a friendly chat with equally unique guests. With the Paloma, I can often surprise guests with its special grapefruit flavor—just what they’re in the mood for.
